However, if you feel that your webcam is been triggered by some apps and services to steal certain information about you without your notice? Well, you can take control of your webcam and simply turn it OFF on your Windows 10 PC.

How to Turn OFF Your Webcam in Windows 10

  1. Go to Device Manager by typing device manager from the Start Menu
  2. Navigate to Cameras or Imaging Option under the Device manager, 
  3. Expand the cameras or Imaging option
  4. Right-Click on the Integrated Webcam option and select Disable Device
  5. Click Yes to confirm the change

Once the above steps are completed successfully then launch your camera from the start menu. The camera shouldn’t be working anymore.

You can also Enable the Webcam Device by navigating thru Device Manager > Camera > Enable Integrated Webcam Device.
