Before you find yourself on this page I believe you know what a RAM{Random Access Memory} is used for in any computing device (A computer to be precise).

In a PC, there exist a Physical RAM and a Virtual Ram and both works for memory management… The physical RAM is a physical memory that holds the application, documents and procedures on a computer(More RAM, More Speed).

While Virtual Memory on the other hand is a memory management technique that allows data located in the RAM and not currently being used to be transferred to the hard disk making space available in the RAM for other programs.

  1. Go to “Control Panel” > Click on “System and Security” > navigate to the “System” section
  2. Select “View Amount of RAM and Processor Speed” from the options
  3. Click on the “Advanced System Settings” from the sidebar.
  4. From the “Advanced” tab, select “Settings” under the “Performance” section.
  5. Move to the “Advanced” Tab
  6. Under the “Virtual memory” section, click on the “Change button
  7. Select the C: Drive
  8. UN-tick the “Automatically manage paging file size for all drives” to enable the selection of the “Custom Size” option
  9. Set the Initial size to at least 2000MB and the Maximum size to 5000MB or anything as high as you like.
  10. Click on the “Set” button > Click “OK” to all prompts.
  11. Lastly, click on the “OK” button at the bottom to finalize it
